Over the years, closers have adopted the mad dog persona as some kind of positional calling card. THEY’RE CRAZY! UNPREDICTABLE! THEY GROW FACIAL HAIR! Ironically, closers are asked to be the most predictable members of the team. They're asked to come into tight games and bring the baby home safely. Given that, can you envision a situation where Papelbon purposely drills Jonny Gomes? [link]
