... Love him. Hate him. It’s a few days old, but if you missed it Nate Jones does a great post on how Kobe has become thee most polarizing figure in sports. Even here in LA there are a lot of people who can’t stand him.

Who will win MVP?

It all depends on what you think it means to be the Most Valuable Player. Does it mean the player who is worth (or gets paid) th most money (Shaq)? Is it the player who leads the team to the best record, which is a very different thing than to imagine what the Lakers would be like without Kobe? Is it the player that brings the most money and attention to the NBA?
