... In another thought provolking post from Bulle Rock, Chris Baldwin suggests that in our current socio-political environment, where immigration has become an ultra-sensitive issue, Ochoa may suffer from being the wrong nationality, otherwise known as... "Dominating While Mexican".
Where Are All the Endorsement Deals for Lorena Ochoa?
Published 6/9/2007 by Ryan Wilson at FanHouse
... WorldGolf.com's Chris Baldwin makes an observation about the LPGA's best golfer : The No. 1 ranked player in women's golf garners all the respect of a weekend hacker playing in jean shorts from the major golf manufacturers.
U.S. Women's Open favorite Lorena Ochoa suffers from dominating while Mexican even with new Ping deal
Published 6/28/2007 at Chris Baldwin
... Still there's little doubt about one thing when it comes to Ochoa. The No. 1 ranked player in women's golf suffers from dominating while Mexican. As I reported at the LPGA Championship, Ochoa did not even have a golf club deal. The top player in women's golf was not paid by anyone to use their sticks, an unfathomable fact considering there are some club pros who couldn't beat WorldGolf.com's own Brandon Tucker with their own longtime Callaway or Nike endorsements. ...

Anybody see Natalie Gulbis lag her putt at No. 18 at the ADT Championship?

She knocks it to 15 feet on the last hole before Ochoa fires off a career 6-iron from the rough inside her. Gulbis, needing a birdie putt, played it about as safe as you can get. What the hell good is a par going to do there?
Ochoa, of course, knocked down her putt and the $1 million prize.
Gulbis, the former pin-up calendar girl, ...
Lorena Ochoa the next Tiger Woods?
Published 3/3/2008 by Tim McDonald at Tim McDonald
Lorena Ochoa is showing all the signs of grabbing the LPGA by the throat in the same way – well, almost – that Tiger Woods is crushing PGA Tour fields.
Ochoa finished 20-under at the HSBC Women’s Champion’s tournament in Singapore Sunday, beating Annika Sorenstam by a whopping 11 strokes.
“I took my game to a new level, so I’m going to try to keep repeating myself,” she told the press after her season debut.
Sorenstam, a year after battling injuries, has now finished in the top four in every tournament ...
Does Lorena Ochoa get to text message Tiger before Masters now after dominating Kraft Nabisco win?
Published 4/7/2008 at Chris Baldwin
... As I wrote a year ago, Lorena Ochoa deserves more attention (you can question an athlete’s track record under pressure and not be “against” that athlete). Now, she deserves Tiger’s number and some of those silly, staged bits he had with Sorenstam. ...
Where are the Hooters girls? Lucky winner "inspired by Natalie Gulbis' personal story" gets to hobnob with the calendar queen in Vegas
Published 9/23/2008 by Tim McDonald at Tim McDonald
... But, the question is: How exactly is Natalie’s story so inspiring? Yes, she’s an excellent golfer, but it isn’t like she had to overcome terrible obstacles. And it isn’t like she’s Lorena Ochoa or ...
