Why ... Kobe Bryant is not your MVP
Let's start with the obvious, a line of predictable reasoning that (for some reason) we need to be reminded of from time to time: Kobe Bryant is freakin' awesome. He probably should have been the MVP in 2005-06, though Dwyane Wade , Dirk Nowitzki , and LeBron James were all justifiable winners (I still can't believe Steve Nash , my second favorite player since high school, won that thing), ... The Ball Does Lie: Kelly Dwyer, Kobe Bryant, and the NBA’s MVP Award
Published 3/4/2008 by David Neiman at SportsHubLA
In an apparent attempt to drive user comments (there is no other explanation, really), Kelly Dwyer of Yahoo! Sports’ “Ball Don’t Lie” decided to write a post today with this headline: “Why … Kobe Bryant is not your MVP.” I’m not going to spend time refuting his argument because it’s so poorly and lazily constructed. He contends, essentially, that LeBron is more deserving because — let me use his words: My issue is in the incessant (in El Lay and on the national airwaves) proclamations of Kobe Bryant as the NBA’s best player. He isn’t. Sorry, but he isn’t. ...

Somehow, I don't think you've struck that much of a blow to Ron Artest. Kid Delicious thinks you're being an unfair, meaney, poo-poo face. Terry no thriving under Kidd. Kidd no make 3-point shooter out of slasher. This might have been something to consider a few months ago! (D-LEAGUE!) If by "attitude" you mean "talent." Chris Richard got a lot out of his time in the... D-LEAGUE! LeBron James might as well not play. Everyone's made up their mind. Ah, the honeymoon. This won't be this sweet in a few months. I'd like to mention again how ...

Kobe Bryant Blog Day

... around the internet, so while Alex and I both have Dwyer's back on the LBJ-over-Kobe-for-MVP debate, we'll put that aside for the moment. In the interests of paying respect to great basketball players--something we really don't get to do much as a Bucks blog--we'll take a moment to join in on the fun. We're lazy and it pains us to get to warm and fuzzy about some other team's superstar, so we'll just post some of our favorite highlights: ...

Kobe Bryant Defeats Dallas Mavericks, Again

In 2005, Kobe scored his 2nd highest point total when he beat the Dallas Mavericks by the 3rd quarter 62-61. Obviously his teammates scored a few points here and there allowing Kobe to rest the entire 4th quarter. Had he not sat down, who knows how many points he would’ve scored, maybe 82? Enough flashbacks, it’s now 2008 and Kobe just beat the Dallas Mavericks again...

Day 125 of 170: Kobe Bryant Will Not Cooperate with Your Defensive Schemes

Biggest Loser: Jerry Stackhouse (0.98). Today, Stackhouse had the absolute worst game score of the night, below the likes of Bobby Jones, who played 1 minute and Steve Novak, who also played 1 minute (and the list goes on). Stack, achieved this dubious honor by shooting 2-12 from the floor and finishing with 4 points, 0 rebounds, and 1 assist in 31 minutes.
