 Why not Shaun?
Going into training camp in October, it would appear that the Lakers’ backcourt is crammed past capacity. Locked in for jobs are Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher, Jordan Farmar and Sasha Vujacic. Battling for jobs will be Coby Karl, Joe Crawford, Dwayne Mitchell and Sun Yue. But as crowded as the guard spot appears to be, it would [...] [link]

Rumors and Free Agent Updates - Hornets' New Look Edition
Published 8/20/2008 by noreply@blogger.com (FLCeltsFan) at LOY's PLACE a celtics green blog
... Shaun Livingston's rehab is progressing. Reports are that he has been playing five-on-five, for at least the past week and a half, at fitness trainer Tim Grover’s facility in Chicago. It was also confirmed Wednesday that Livingston has progressed to playing full-scale, full-court pickup games with the contingent of 20 or so NBA players that work out regularly at Grover’s site. He is an unrestricted free agent and if healthy, could become one of the league's top point guards and a top defender. ...

First Cup: Thursday

... no question, however, that Mark Cuban's willingness to put his grudge with George's agent aside to get the deal done is a good sign. Cuban made no secret of his displeasure with Mark Bartelstein after George blocked the original Jason Kidd trade based on his advice. That's why George coming back to Dallas is a surprise. However, Rick Carlisle wanted George. And Cuban is more concerned with putting his new coach in position to succeed than carrying out a grudge against an agent." ...

So, What IS Going on with Shaun Livingston?
Published 8/21/2008 by ClipperSteve at Clips Nation
... What's going on with Livingston?  The short answer is, I don't have any idea.  No inside sources.  No scoop.  I have no idea how he is.  Hell, I don't even know where he is.  According to Art Thompson III, apparently promoted to Lakers 'blogger' at the OCR, he's been at Tim Grover's gym in Chicago for months, working out and now playing 5 on 5.  But that would seem to contradict Citizen clipschamps ...

The Shaun Livingston Watch - Day 584
Published 10/2/2008 by ClipperSteve at Clips Nation
... Not so fast.  I guess there's another team in LA.  Our old friend Art Thompson III of the Orange County Register, stripped of his Clipper beat and sucked into the Lakers' gravitational pull, has been fanning the flames of a "Livingston to the Lakers" non-story for months now.  He managed to get Phil Jackson and Derek Fisher to say nice things about the kid this time, but that's about as far as it goes.  AT3 says that Phil Jackson is " ...

Dropping Dimes Mock Draft: Round 1, Pick 3 - Kobe Bryant

A lot can change in a year. Last year, who would have thought a humble Dropping Dimes writer would be tying the knot in 2008! Yours truly will be taking the plunge in the upcoming month.
