Agent Takes on Panthers’ Fans as Clients
Kuklas Korner —
... about the NHL:
“I have been hired by the fans of the NHL’s Florida Panthers to negotiate lower season ticket prices. I will keep you posted on the outcome.”
Curious because the Florida Panthers do in fact have tickets of above-average price, according to the 2008-09 Fan Cost Index (.pdf). Curious because Rosenhaus taking on what amounts to a class-action movement on behalf of hockey fans is about as random as it gets.

Finger's on the pulse of the BAC faithful. Hmm.
You've got to love this. Really shows a positive, aggressive (dare we say cutting-edge?) attitude that hasn't been present with the organization in a long, long while.
It hasn't been owned up to by the team as a tool, but what a wonderful marketing campaign idea that has attracted tons of attention...and it hasn't even been officially rolled out.

Fan Rebellion -- Hockey Fans Hire Super Agent Drew Rosenhaus
Cincy Jungle —
... I couldn't believe that hockey fans were actually smart enough to launch the first formal, class-action fan rebellion in professional sports history. Then, I looked for more information. It turns out that hockey fans are not smarter than football fans. In fact, they may be dumber if they fall for this scam. Rosenhaus was actually retained by the Panthers as part of a marketing campaign, hence the press release and the Twitter feed. Yahoo Sports is reporting that the team reached out to ...
