Wolves Updates 2/29 Written by SG Friday, 29 February 2008 Sid Hartman on Theo Ratliff: The Detroit Pistons are poised to sign the shot-blocker for the stretch run if he clears waivers within 48 hours, which is expected given that a team taking him off waivers would have to pay $3.7 million. Ratliff would be returning to his first team. The Pistons drafted him 18th overall in 1995, and he played two seasons there. First and foremost Fox sports is reporting that Asante Samuel will visit Philadelphia today. The same article says that WR Jerry Porter is headed down to Jacksonville for a visit and may already have a contract in place. ESPN's John Clayton has also confirmed that Samuel is coming to town for his first visit. ...

Patriots have been free to announce any deal they had with Randy Moss for the
last 11 hours or so, but no announcement has come. This could mean one of three
things.
1) The Patriots have no deal in place with Moss, are content to let him walk,
and he's about to sign elsewhere for a whole lot of money.
2) The Patriots are waiting to see what someone else offers Moss, and then
decide whether or not they want to match it.
3) The Patriots do have a deal in place with Moss, but are just screwing
with everyone, while Bob Kraft and Bill Belichick sit back and laugh while
lesser teams try to land ...
