But Mets Today, a blog that has supported Randolph and never called for his firing, hits the right note when it sarcastically responds to Willie’s “we’re going to make them real proud before the year is over,” with a sarcastic “yeah, Willie, I can taste the Champagne now,” referencing Willie’s comments during last season’s downslide that the champagne would taste sweeter for the difficulty of putting the division away. ...
