Willie Randolph claims to not like fraternization
One of the the things I like about Willie Randolph is that he's a throwback. If an old baseball code is violated, he's going to let his players know about it, even if it means coming off like he has a major bug up his Randolph rear. Currently, Randolph isn't too happy as he's seen a few too many Mets players do a little too much pregame frolicking with Manny Acta , the old Mets coach and ... [link]

Was Willie Randolph Sending a Message to Mets Front Office?
Published 4/20/2008 by Matt Watson at FanHouse
... Randolph didn't mention anyone in the Mets front office, and Sherman doesn't explicitly suggest that Randolph may have been implying as much ... but it does make you wonder, especially considering Randolph has selectively relaxed his stance on fraternization in the past. Could it be he's just a little paranoid about his own job? Seems like a reasonable theory to me. ...

My Kind of Game

By all rights, I should have been at last night's game. My plans to actually attend were thwarted somewhat by a friend calling to see a show, then said friend not showing up, leaving me to see the show by myself. Billy Wagner was dealing heat to Chase Utley when Utley fouled off a 96 mph fastball which found it's way behind Schneider's leg, landing squarely on the meat of his forearm. The game stopped for a few moments as Schneider paced around the field trying to walk off the pain.

METS PLAN ON EDDIE TO BE THERE IN END

THE Mets' top pick in last June's draft was for more than a re liever. With their selection of Eddie Kunz, the Mets envisioned him eventually becoming Billy Wagner's successor. Kunz was the set-up man in 2006 and closer in 2007 for two-time...
