The Times today reports on the latest episode of the Anelka transfer malarkey, apparently: “Chelsea’s hopes of signing Nicolas Anelka before the London derby with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday increased after the France striker demanded yesterday to be allowed to leave Bolton Wanderers.” And whilst Gary Megson originally thought that his club would be able to stand up to Chelsea in their original demands of £15 million for Anelka, this transfer demand by the Frenchman may mean that Megson is forced to accept an inferior ...
