Ken Holland confirmed this morning that the Red Wings are out of the running for Swedish free agent Fabian Brunnstrom. Holland said that the team's chief European scout, Hakan Andersson, told him that Brunnstrom's side said that they've pared Detroit from their list of potential NHL teams. A TSN report said that Brunnstrom is close to signing with the Vancouver Canucks. [link]
