Just taped a spot on the nightly Marlins pregame show on WQAM, and Jessie Agler asked me a great question. If the Marlins could go out and get any one piece to boost their playoff chances off this hot start, what and who would it be? Within reason now, assuming there will be no $10 million additions to a $21 million team. Don't think Matt Morris is going to cut it, but my answer was ... [link]

Here we are about to end the first month of baseball and the Florida Marlins are still in first place. It seems almost every player has stepped up to help the Fish: Jacobs, Willingham, Hermida, Uggla, Ramirez, Hendrickson, Olsen, Pinto, Greg, etc. Unfortunately, the players that came over in the trade for Miguel Cabrera & Dontrelle Willis haven’t done much, including Andrew Miller.
