What's Spanish for "Kobe ain't looking to relocate anytime soon?" While the events leading up to this sea change statement were anything but predictable, that Bryant now feels this way was about as easy to call as Denver eventually imploding during game 1. All kidding aside, where is Kobe gonna find as good or better a situation (and if this aspect is important to him, while making close to the same amount of loot)? Beyond that, Kobe does look happier than he's been in a long time. As well he should be. The season may have began looking like a Brothers Grimm story, but ...

This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship

Not that Kobe Bryant and the Lakers just made recent acquaintances, but considering how rocky the relationship had grown, any developments over the past season would basically qualify as being, at the very least, reintroduced. Bryant said yesterday what Lakers fans have been dying to actually hear, that he's perfectly content to remain a Laker until he finally hangs up his sneaks for good. He also gave ...

Stuff Kobe said

... I only caught the tail end of yesterday's conversation between Kobe and members of the media in which he said he "absolutely" (quoting Kobe) wants to stay with the Lakers, and is "open to finishing his career with them" (quoting the report). I missed the stuff about drop top Impalas and ...

Lakers Fans Treat Carmelo Anthony To "DUI" Chants

Carmelo Anthony was treated to chants of "D-U-I" by the Lakers faithful during Sunday's Game 1. Well, that seems a bit extreme - much like Melo's intoxication levels when he was pulled over last week. Wonder if Nuggets fans will retaliate by chanting at Kobe during Game 3. Something about his sexcapades in Vail, perhaps?

Lakers defeat Nuggets 128-114 in Game 1

Kobe Bryant, the sleeping giant, was inexplicably irrelevant. It was the third quarter of the Nuggets-Lakers first playoff game, and the MVP front-runner had only four points, while his Lakers led by only six. But in the 128-114 victory by Los Angeles, the turning point happened with 9:50 left in that third quarter. Bryant drove to the basket and was corralled hard by Denver's Anthony ...
