... flying a guy 3,000 miles then firing him is the wrong way and proves that maybe Omar Minaya is lacking the “SKILL SETS” to be a GM. But with all that, let today be the last day of hearing about Willie Randolph and his firing. Willie did a bad job last season and this season and from all reports lost that clubhouse. He deserved to get fired but it should have been done better. Case closed.

We've read conflicting reports on Omar Minaya's job security. Adam Rubin believes he's on the hot seat. What's more, Rubin's sources say VP Tony Bernazard might be next in line. Bernazard seems to have a bad reputation, but no one is sure exactly why.

With Mets VP Tony Bernazard taking a beating in the local media of late he seems to have plenty of allies in the Mets organization. Adam Rubin of the Daily News is reporting that ‘insiders’ are telling him that Bernazard could actually replace Omar Minaya if things don’t turn around.
VP Tony Bernazard is in prime position to assume the GM responsibilities if Minaya is ousted, insiders tell the Daily News.
Rubin goes on to write that Bernazard has the trust and respect of Jeff Wilpon. Jeff especially likes Bernazard emphasis on homegrown players.
