Bears running back Cedric Benson was arrested last weekend for boating while intoxicated and resisting arrest, and he has said from the outset that he did nothing wrong and was mistreated by police. There's also the fact that Benson has apparently been pulled over six times by the LCRA for boat safety checks when he's gone out on the water.
It would sound to me like the authorities don't like Benson too much, and for no legitimate reason.
By the way, if I'm the LCRA, after hearing about Patch's statement, I'd be going to grab my checkbook. Because I'm about to get sued big time - and lose.
