Two MLS teams advanced, two USL-1 teams advanced, two games went to penalty kicks. Home teams listed first: - New England (MLS) 1, Crystal Palace Baltimore (USL-2) 1; New England advances on penalty kicks 5-3. The Revs fielded few starters but slipped through. - D.C. United (MLS) 2, Chicago (MLS) 1, extra time. Each team used roughly two-thirds of their regulars. Cuauhtemoc Blanco and Marc Burch were sent off in extra time. - Dallas (MLS) 1, Charleston (USL-1) 3: The shocker of the night.
