The North Carolina Tar Heels went into hostile territory last night and proved that they belong at the top of the polls. The Tar Heels and the Duke Blue Devils played a great, close game, however the Tar Heels scored the final 10 points of the game to win 76-68. With the win the Tar Heels claimed the regular-season ACC conference title and #1 seed for the ACC conference tournament.

It was a game that most thought would be close, the 225th meeting between two schools that have been in the upper echilons of the sport for so long. The fourth time that the winner of the game would win the conference outright (Duke was 2-1). The game that would prove if the absence of Ty Lawson would have made a difference or not.
