OUT OF RIGHT FIELD — Paul Sullivan was listening to the radio today & heard this from Kerry Wood on the Silvy & Waddle show: "I feel fine today, so, you know, I'd love to be activated today and love to go out and save a game tonight," Wood said. "I feel good. I threw (Sunday) and didn't have any problems, so I'm ready to go." The Cubs had mentioned that Wood may come back as early as the Cardinals series this weekend, but Wood doesn't seem to be able to wait that long to pitch. Rotoprofessor — According to Paul Sullivan of The Chicago Tribune (click here for the post) Kerry Wood appeared on ESPN-1000 today and said, “I feel fine today, so, you know, I’d love to be activated today and love to go out and save a game tonight”. At this point, there has been no official word that he has been activated, but he did throw a simulated game yesterday.  It has also been said that he “didn’t want to go to the minors for a rehab outing before returning”, so a return tonight certainly is possible.
