Published 1/22/2008 by Patrick at Give Me The Rock
According to the Lakers.com Basketblog, Trevor Ariza injured himself in Lakers’ practice after landing awkwardly on the foot of Derek Fisher. After an x-ray today, it was found that Ariza has a broken right foot and will likely be out for the next 8 weeks. Ariza joins Andrew Bynum, Chris Mihm, Vladimir Radmanovic, and Kwame Brown’s stone hands on one hurting Lakers sideline.
What does this mean for fantasy purposes? Well, the Lakers just signed free agent center DJ Mbenga to a 10-day contract today. Grab him for your team immediately. ...

Kwame Brown - I’ve wanted to write something about Brown for some time now so I created an award just for him (how nice of me). This isn’t going to be another Kwame bashing about his stone hands, inability to finish dunks & lay-ups consistently at 6′11, getting ...

I’m just happy that both Kwame and Pau aren’t playing against us tonight…so who’s playing center? ...

... . And although it seems like he's been around (and underachieving) forever, Brown is only 26 years old. He's also seven feet tall, 270 pounds and pretty athletic (even if he does have hands of stone). As Hubie Brown likes to point out, you can't teach size. ...
30 Previews In 30 Days: The Detroit Pistons [NBA Season Previews]

... The Bad: Their biggest offseason acquisition was Kwame "Stone Hands" Brown. Curry is a rookie head coach with only one year of experience as an assistant, and even though this is a veteran team that should be able to police themselves, it seems to me they need a strong hand to guide them and keep them in line. This is particularly true since the team has a bad habit of succumbing to hubris and presuming they can just show up and beat anybody. That sense of entitlement has hurt them, and badly, in each of the last three Eastern Conference Finals against teams ...
