I'm in catch-up mode after hangin' at Lake Monroe this weekend. Here are some links of interest from what I missed:
DraftExpress: Word on the Street, June 22nd Jonathan Givony has the latest rumblings coming from NBA Draft preparations. The first item of interest is the list of players invited to attend the NBA Draft in person to walk up on stage when their name is called. Tyler Hansbrough, Eric Maynor and James Johnson were among those invited. DeJuan Blair, Earl Clark and Terrence Williams were not invited. Hmm.

... business calls anymore for confirmation and denial of such rumors, I texted Kahn about this one and asked if there was possibly any truth to it. He sent back a one word answer: "No." Good.
Now that's a deal I could support, but of course it doesn't sound likely.
Update: In related news, it sounds like the TWolves are being "super active" on the phones. More TWolves rumors (not involving the C's) after the jump.

Ball Don't Lie —
... Givony, DraftExpress.com: "As messy as the rest of the top five sounds, Sacramento’s situation might be the most confusing. It’s looking more and more clear that the Kings are not nearly as enamored with Ricky Rubio as they once were, for a number of reasons. The official party line is that Sacramento is concerned that Rubio will struggle to assert his leadership ability on the group of players they currently have in place, due to the fact that he’s only 18 years old and not a native English speaker. One of the biggest issues Sacramento ...

... A defense for Thabeet not working out and news saying he doesn’t like Memphis: ”Digging a bit deeper, though, it simply seems like (Hasheem) Thabeet just isn’t interested in working out for anyone at this point, since he does not feel like that setting is conducive to his strengths. “He’s not going to block shots in a workout, and that’s what he’s going to do in the NBA,” Udezue told us. “What are they going to do, have Hasheem shoot 3-pointers? Ricky Rubio is not doing any workouts either.” Speaking of Rubio, do we ...

Put aside whatever plans you have and make David Stern and Co. a part of your evening. The draft is going to be exciting television; full of twists and turns and unexpected fumbles. Daily Poll - Who Will Be the Last Player in the Green Room on Draft Day?
Basketball Fiend —
You DO NOT want to make Tyler Hansbrough wait in the Green Room. The Green Room invitees for the upcoming NBA Draft were announced on Monday morning by Draft Express, making today a great day of speculation and prediction. The biggest surprises, in terms of invitees, were Tyler Hansbrough, Eric Maynor, and B.J. Mullens. And the biggest snubs were DeJuan Blair, Terrence Williams, and Earl Clark. (Stu Jackson apparently has no love for Louisville basketball.) As we all know, the last guy left in the Green Room on draft day is the loneliest man in America for at least 10-20 ...

It seems nobody wants to play for the Grizzlies, but they still have the #2 pick. Most of the mock drafts I’ve seen have Thabeet as their pick, but DraftExpress thinks they’ll take James Harden and move O.J. Mayo to point guard. It appears that Tyreke Evans, DeMar DeRozan, Jordan Hill and Ricky Rubio are also under consideration. DraftExpress says that Harden might be the last man standing.
While Harden may not have helped himself with ...
What the Green Room Invite List Tells Us
The Baseline —
... from the public's prying eye. It's where the NBA puts what, based on its sources, will be the top picks in the draft, all in the name of enhanced logistics. Of course, this has led to embarrassing and heart-wrenching moments like Rashard Lewis openly weeping in solitude as he slipped into the second round. You make the call: Is that more or less awkward than watching a guy sink lower and lower surrounded by his family and friends at a table?
So anyway, via DraftExpress, here's a list of this year's invitees:
