Nick Lidstrom, and reports from Versus and the Diggers are calling it a right knee injury, was helped off the ice midway through the first in Denver.  Will provide updates here as we get them.  Khan(!) No word yet on the extent of the injury. Lidstrom needed some assistance to get off the ice and was taken to the training room after a hard hit from Colorado’s Ian ... [link]

Nick Lidstrom was hit by Ian Laperriere around the five minute mark in the first period.  Versus is reporting a knee injury, no report from Detroit radio. He was groggy when he left the ice and was escorted to the lockerroom.
