With training camp opening on July 21, the Eagles have gotten the second of their second-round picks under contract. Cal receiver DeSean Jackson, an undersized speedster who could become a Steve Smith-style presence in Philly, has inked a four-year deal . Jackson is expected to contribute right away (as Smith did seven years ago) on special teams. On offense, Jackson likely will get started as a slot receiver. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson, the Eagles' second of two second-round picks in April's NFL Draft, agreed to terms on a four-year deal Sunday, ensuring he will be under contract in time for training camp, which begins July 21 when rookies and selected veterans are scheduled to report.
Good news for sure and hopefully the news that Laws has agreed to a deal will come down at some point today. Rookies and selected veterans are due to report to training camp tonight.
