2007 Meineke Car Care Bowl Preview

In the 2006 season, Wake Forest won the ACC and played in the Orange Bowl against Louisville, so anything less than that had to be a little bit of a let down for Demon Deacon fans. Connecticut was almost the Wake Forest of 2007. The Huskies lost to West Virginia or they would’ve been the surprise team to head to a BCS game this season.

Jones Emerges As A Leading Candidate

Former WVU assistant Butch Jones has emerged as a leading candidate to be the next head coach of the WVU football team. Jones, who is currently the head coach of Central Michigan, was scheduled for a second interview for the job today. Last week he talked with WVU Athletic Department representatives. Today’s meeting is with WVU President Mike Garrison, who was not in on the first interview.
