Looks like the Bobby Petrino of the Week might be West Virginia’s head coach Rich Rodriguez. Last year thinking about going to Alabama got him a contract extension with a hefty raise and now he’s looking at the Michigan job, while his Athletic Director is denying knowing anything about it.FanHouse found this 12/17/2007 on wbgv.wordpress.com
Sources close to University President Mike Garrison have informed WBGV that Nick Saban’s agent has contacted WVU regarding our vacant head-coaching position. These sources tell us that Saban is extremely unhappy in Tuscaloosa and has ...SPORTSbyBROOKS found this 12/17/2007 on www.everydayshouldbesaturday.com
No fucking way: West By God Virginia is suggesting that WVSports.com (Rivals’ WVU board) is reporting that Nick Saban’s agent contacted West Virginia about the opening left by Rich Rodriguez’s departure. 4 million dollars buys you ...Posted 12/19/2007 on Bleacher Report
Bill Stewart will be leading the Mountaineers in the Fiesta Bowl. He takes over where Rich "Rat"riquez left off. Bill is one of those guys that you can always count on to be there, to do what is necessary for the good of the team. He has been coaching with Ratriquez since Glenville and knows the system well. Several coaches have been mentioned to have been ...Posted 12/19/2007 on The Meaningful Collateral
Ok, we’re REALLY doubting the veracity of this one: The blog West by God Virginia reports Alabama coach Nick Saban contacted West Virginia about its opening. You know, the same Nick Saban that’s slept with every school in D-1 … I mean, the football bowl subdvision. Far fetched? Probably. But WBGV (we’re not spelling out the whole thing. Sorry kids) says ...Posted 12/17/2007 on Third Saturday in Blogtober
So recent reports, ok, so a fellow wordpress blog site, has reported that Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban’s agent, Jimmy Sexton, has contacted West Virginia about the vacant head coach position. First of all, HA! Secondly, WHY? And lastly, HA! But I guess there isn’t anything like a good chuckle on a Monday afternoon, is there? I know that Saban is from West Virginia. Maybe ...Posted 12/17/2007 on WVMountaineerSports.com
My rock-star buddy alerted me to this article over at West By God Virginia.com. Nick Saban’s Agent contacts WVU I don’t know what to think about this. Initially, it sounds good for recruiting… but how long would Saban stay at WVU? What about the first time it’s 10 below zero… or someone breathes in the wrong direction… he’ll be headed back ...Posted 12/18/2007 on West BY GOD Virginia
Here is the carnage from yesterday: 1) 68,530 hits 2) 94,012 page views 3) The 4th most popular blog hosted by WordPress. 4) The single most viewed post on all of WordPress. Damn. All from a little story about WVU and Nick Saban.Posted 12/18/2007 on Dub Sports Underground
I am sure the rumors are floating. Has anyone seen Nick Saban's wife house shopping yet? Either way, here is a link with some information. http://wbgv.wordpress.com/2007/12/17/nick-sabans-agent-contacts-wvu/ http://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/messagetopic.asp?p=6520363Posted 12/17/2007 on MiamiSportsBlog.com - Miami Hurricanes Blog, Miami Dolphins Blog, Miami Heat Blog, Florida Marlins Blog, Florida Panthers Blog
Reports are flying around that Nick Saban’s agent has been in contact with WVU now that Rich Rodriguez has sold his boy out. Apparently, ole boy Saban isn’t so happy in Tuscaloosa anymore. As a ‘Phins fan, I can’t even explain the excitement seeing Saban go 6-6 after starting our fairly well, with a big win against Arkansas. Can this guy be any more of a cry baby ...Posted 12/17/2007 on Roll 'Bama Roll
[editor's note, by Todd] Bumped from the diaries. Personally, the chances of this being even remotely valid are slim at best, but since it's the latest coaching rumor and it involves Coach Saban (again), might as well put it out here for everyone to see. http://wbgv.wordpress.com/2007/12/17/nick-sabans-agent-contacts-wvu/ Now, this would thoroughly piss me off, however it wouldn't ...Posted 12/17/2007 on Fanblogs.com
West By God Virginia has the scoop saying that Nick Saban's agent has contacted West Virginia about the head coaching job. Of course, that's a pretty funny internet joke and a darn salty rumor, but now the WVU Rivals site is confirming that Saban's agent has indeed contacted West Virginia . First and foremost, I'm calling BS on Saban's interest in West Virginia. Nope. Don't believe ...Burnt Orange Nation found this 4 days ago on www.sbnation.com
