I didn’t get to watch much of the Cardinals game last night and I gotta tell you, it feels good knowing I didn’t have to witness my home town team give up 17 freaking runs to the Royals.  I don’t have my stats in front of me, but I’m not sure the Cardinals scored 17 runs in the entire month of April.  Maybe some links will make us all feel better, eh? No use in pretending it didn’t happen, but for some reason it’s not quite as depressing when you read about the 17-8 loss from the KC side. [ KC Star ] Larry Borowski takes Tony LaRussa and Dave Duncan to task for misusing their pitching staff for the second year in a row.  I think we can call agree that the Kip Wells experiment has been worse than the Sidney Ponson one.  [
