Two sources tell me this morning that the Los Angeles Galaxy is planning to waive Portuguese defender Abel Xavier and his $156,000 salary. The Galaxy, which just acquired Argentine back Eduardo Dominguez, is in New York for tomorrow's match against the Red Bulls. Xavier, 35, made nine starts and 10 league appearances this season and 19 and 20 respectively over two years. What is the Galaxy up ... [link]
