Look, Dave Doyle's a good guy. He does his best to run a mainstream MMA news department and overall I'd say they do a decent job. He's contacted me directly in the past and was always professional and courteous. I hope to reciprocate whenever the occasion arises, but that does not make them immune from criticism. Its partnership with the NFL is a clear example. ”The Worldwide Leader” waited about a week to jump on the Pacman Jones and Michael Vick stories in 2007 and they still haven’t really tackled the Reggie Bush news that Yahoo broke in early 2007.
Some MMA writers are worried that Yahoo could be headed down the same path with UFC. Luke Thomas, who does a nice job at BloodyElbow.com, is worried Yahoo could cave into UFC pressure for 100% positive coverage.
