Yahoo will announce tomorrow it has bought collegiate sports site Rivals.com. Rivals.com runs a subscription business, charging $10 to $100 per month to 185,000 subscribers. Its peak traffic was 2.57 million visitors last September at the kickoff of college football season.

TechCrunch also has the story and is reporting the price came in around $100 Million. Wow.

Talk about finally cashing out...but you have to look at the history of Rivals to know that some folks lost their shirts with this venture...
