... for the Yankees, in addition to the fact that he is sucking up payroll like it's going out of style (it's not ... this is the Yankees, remember), he is also clogging up the 40-man roster. It goes without saying that the team could use that spot in more useful ways (they've already had to designate various players for assignment due to that lack of room), but there doesn't seem to be much hope of booting him off that roster any time soon.
