There was plenty of speculation that Ian Kennedy would make his return to the New York Yankees on June 27th. That day the Yankees will be playing a split-stadium, day-night doubleheader against the New York Mets. Even with the recent injury to Chien-Ming Wang, the team has decided against rushing the youngster back, instead opting to make sure he’s healthy for the long haul.

It’s a sad day. Actually, it was a sad day several weeks ago when the, president of the Israel Association of Baseball, announced that the Israel Baseball League has been cancelled for 2008 and its future is in jeopardy. On the bright side, last season’s co-MVP was playing at the New York Yankees’ AAA team in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, although he’s now back at AA. Plus, there's a movie coming out.
