... with one out left in the seven inning game. He induced the grounder he needed , but Chris Basak misplayed it, extending the game. The very next batter doubled, scoring the runner Basak allowed to reach, tying the game at 1. Kennedy was done after seven and did receive a decision. The Yankees won in the bottom of the eighth when Ben Broussard hit a three run, walk off home run.

Xavier Nady And Damaso Marte Just Traded To Yankees, Plus Other News and Notes
Xavier Nady and Damaso Marte just got sent to the Yankees. No word yet on who got traded, but here is my guess. One of the group of Ian Kennedy, Austin Jackson and Philip Hughes had to have been involved. There’s no way that the Pirates would have agreed to anything without one of them. My guess is that an Ian Kennedy Plus Melky Cabrera swap has been agreed to, which would result ...

Kennedy Dominates I.L.’s Worst For Seven
Many Yankees fans are pumped this morning over the news that Ian Kennedy came within one out last night of pitching a seven-inning no-hitter down in Triple-A. Just one note to consider on this: Kennedy was pitching against the Richmond Braves - and they have the worst team offense in the International League (at this moment). Right now, the R-Braves have a team OPS of .677 - which is dead ...

Back To Basak’s
That headline really makes no sense. I just like it. According to Peter Abraham of The LoHud Yankees Blog , Ian Kennedy came very close to an impressive achievement tonight, only to be let down by his defense: Needing one out to finish his no-hitter, Ian Kennedy got Richmond’s Barbaro Canizares to ground to second base. Forget it. Chris Basak’s second error of the night extended the ...

According to Troy E. Renck of the Denver Post , the Rockies have asked various teams for the following players for closer Brian Fuentes : Wade Davis , Ian Kennedy , Clay Buchholz , and Jon Niese . Kennedy Shines Saturday In Triple-A
Updating the Ian Kennedy watch …. Yesterday, in Lehigh Valley, Ian Kennedy pitched a gem of a game : 7 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 1 ER and 2 SO. Granted, Lehigh Valley has the third lowest team OPS in the International League - and is only 6 points away from having the worst team OPS in the I.L. So, who knows what this all really means?
Pinstripe Prospects: The Minor League Report
