From Ed Price: The Yankees will not renew the contract of third-base coach Bobby Meacham, the team said today. No replacement has been named, and the Yankees could not say whether the rest of the staff will remain intact. General manager Brian Cashman was not immediately available for comment. We all know he wasn't a great third base coach, so this was expected. On Saturday it was reported that if Meacham was not brought back the Yankees could sign Luis "send 'em home" Sojo as his replacement - I'm not a fan of this idea at all. Look somewhere ...
