... Well, it is 1-0 Yankees after a 1-0 Bomber win on an infield single. And pretty soon Chamberlain-Youkilis is headed for a squared circle near you. Great, tight game. Have to wonder if Joe G can call on Mariano Rivera on Saturday after his five-out save. Not too many of them in the gift sack. Lowell was pissed and tossed. Just amazing how much anger and bad blood there is and how it gets handed down from generation to generation. ...

Josh Beckett threw the type of game we've come to expect from him in big situations, and he did it without truly nasty stuff, which was very impressive. The Yanks managed 9 hits and 1 walk off the righty, but only pushed one run across and that came on a dribbler hit against the shift by the Giambino. ...
