July 18, 2007 -- The Yankees tried to acquire Wilson Betemit at last year ' s trade deadline for Scott Proctor, and they are making the same attempt again this year. Betemit ' s team, the Dodgers, had to move Chad Billingsley from the bullpen to the rotation, so they are now looking to acquire a reliever to work as a bridge to their end-game duo of Jonathon Broxton and Takashi Saito.
