According to Jack Curry of The New York Times (click here for the article), the Yankees have recalled OF prospect Brett Gardner from Triple A.  He had been hitting .287 with 3 HR, 29 RBI, 59 R and 34 SB.  He was certainly getting on base, posting a .412 OBP. According to WFAN in New York, he will be in the starting line-up tonight, playing LF and leading off.  With Hideki Matsui on the DL, it would appear that Gardner has the chance to play fairly regularly for the Yankees.  He’s not a power hitter, by any stretch, but if you are in need of a sleeper source of SB’s, he’s ...
