Yanks Scoping Out Damaso Marte? Links1
Kevin from Queens asked recently, via e-mail: What's the latest with the Yankees and southpaw Damaso Marte? I read rumors about a potential trade with the Pirates during Winter Meetings but have not heard much since. He seems like an ideal arm to add to the bullpen and would make Joba's transition from reliever to starter much smoother. Any chance this could still happen or am I just ... [link]

Cafardo: Marte on the Yankees Radar
Published 3/9/2008 by Jason at MY BASEBALL BIAS

Fantasy Baseball Draft - Pittsburgh Lumber Co. Team 2

Having blown my pitching staff in Seamless League Encarnacion, I entered Upton with a slightly different strategy. As a reward for winning last season's Rookie of the Year Award, and perhaps an attempt to win over his heart, Dustin Pedroia was given a Rolex watch by Ramirez.
