During tonights game, the Yankees made a trade to strengthen their back up catching role by aquiring Jose Molina from the Angels, for right-handed pitcher Jeff Kennard. The 32-year-old Molina was batting .224 (28-for-125) with no home runs and 10 RBIs in 40 games (37 starts) at catcher for the Angels this season.
