Wow. This is interesting.
MLB Trade Rumors is reporting that the Cards (and several other teams) have made an offer to Mike Lowell.
A Lowell signing or an offer would obviously be tied to what ever plans they have for Scott Rolen. Does that really accomplish anything? The salaries would offset, likely cost more for Lowell, and give the Cards a 3B even older than Rolen arguably negating the health risk Rolen carries.
Then of course, this begs the question, what’s going on behind the scenes right now with Rolen? Is Mozeliak that positive he’ll ...
