2009 Defensive Projections for Current and Former Yankees
Replacement Level Yankees Weblog — ... . I like Peavy, but I think his numbers get a fair boost from Petco and the NL. NY Post: Yankees Want Bowa to Coach Third...
YanksBlog.com — Not the best article, but the New York Post is stating that Larry Bowa is the Yankees' top choice to coach third base next season. Problem is, the only information given to back up the claim that he is the Yankees' number one choice is the statement that Bowa is the number one choice to replace Bobby Meachem. I also find it somewhat interesting how a journalist gets to decide that Larry Bowa is the best third base coach in baseball. Not that I disagree, necessarily. I'd actually be quite pleased to see him back in pinstripes.

Will Bowa be a Dodger or a Yankee? Will know later in the week.

New York Yankees Fan Blog — ... to prove that this event was an aberration and not the norm. There's also the odd story -- posted by GAKIII early morning on Monday, so you may have seen this already -- that the Yanks may bring back Larry Bowa to coach third . GAKIII calls him the best third base coach in baseball -- sort of hard to substantiate that -- but it does seem like his effect with the Yankees, most especially Robby Cano, was a positive one. We're all for him coming back, if possible...
