Rumors have been circulating that Fedor Elemianenko, ranked No. 1 in the Yahoo! Sports pound-for-pound poll, was going to fight in Japan on New Year’s Eve. The speculation started because of a letter Emelianenko wrote to his Japanese fans that was translated to English and posted on M-1’s Russian web site.
