Reports that David Heath had been completely removed from the UFC 81 card scheduled for February 2 in Las Vegas following an injury to Tomasz Drawl were premature, according to MMAWeekly.com.
According to the web site, UFC 81 will remain a nine-bout card as veteran Anthony Ruiz has been secured as Heath’s new opponent.
The UFC has yet to confirm that Ruiz has been signed to the promotion and will compete on the card.
If the report is correct, Ruiz, 20-10, will be making his UFC debut after having competed the last four years in various promotions such as Gladiator ...

... According to MMAWeekly, David Heath will take on Anthony “El Toro” Ruiz at UFC 81 February 2 from the Mandalay Event Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The report puts out rumors that the David Heath’s fight would be scratched from UFC 81 all together after Tomasz Drwal was forced out of the fight with a knee injury.
Ruiz is on a six fight winning streak, with his last win coming this weekend at Palace Fighting Championships over The Ultimate Fighter 2 veteran Brad Imes.

Remember that MMAWeekly.com report earlier that stated Anthony Ruiz has signed on to face David Heath at UFC 81 on Feb. 2 as the replacement for Tomasz Drwal?
Well, UFC.com is reporting something completely different. Apparently Tim Boetsch, and not Ruiz, will be taking on Heath:
