... I’m not crazy about him but I don’t share the same hatred that others on the interwebs do. I’ve seen him play the dry, straight man on on Conan a few times and if nothing else, at least he can be self-deprecating. Not to mention, he’s still mostly just an announcer. If he starts to suck or makes himself too much the focus of the broadcast, just turn down the volume and throw some music on. Joe Buck, as ubiquitous as he seems, is avoidable. While I was busy in the sedate environs of our nation's golf championship, Artie Lange hijacked the debut of Joe Buck's new HBO show Monday, an event of Bissinger-ian proportions that is sure to dominate the blogosphere today.

This was sent over by my parents. It's a clipping from the local newspaper from where I grew up in Southwestern Pennsylvania. H.W. Good is one of the elementary schools in the Yough School District, and at one point or another, they played ring toss on a fake mini pony. And one of 'em was wearing a Troy Polamalu jersey. Kids these days have it alright.
