Let me go on the record as saying that Votto is NOT a cooler name than Garko, despite what some may say . (This is largely because nobody can seem to agree on whether to pronounce it "Vaught-0" or "Vote-O." No such problems with Garko.) I thought it was a good omen that the first image I saw when tuning in to some lunchtime Cubs baseball was the Reds mascot, Mr. Redlegs, falling off a golf cart and losing his head. Literally.
