Since ALL is a disease which can worsen quickly, Shawn has already undergone surgery and started chemotherapy. If all goes well, he will begin to feel like himself again in six months, but won't fully overcome the disease for anywhere from two and-a-half to three and-a-half years. ... – Win or lose, you’ll be surrounded by a lot of U of L fans Saturday at a fund raising event for Shawn Bowen at the BBC in St. Matthews. Shawn is the five-year-old son of Justin Bowen, better known as “Jerb” for his video capabilities. All proceeds from this event, as well as a golf scramble tomorrow, will go help offset the family’s medical expenses.
