If you believe Peter Vescey -- and please, kids, tread carefully -- the Mavs decision to bring on Kidd has as much to do with Avery Johnson's dissatisfaction with Dirk Nowitzki as a leader as it does with Devin Harris' point-guard shortcomings. Apparently, Avery wanted Mark Cuban to deal Dirk after last season's loss to the Warriors, but was overruled. (UPDATE: Cuban calls B.S.
