Big Z’s shoulder is suffering from tendonitis.
At least he doesn’t need Tommy John surgery.
Now, we just need to figure out why the fuck the bats are limper than John McCain’s dick. I’m sorry, that was uncalled for. I am sure the bats are just as limp as John McCain’s dick.
The real issue is whether or not the Cubs amazing run from April until now was all they had in them. I find it impossible to believe so. Losing 5 in a row is something that happens. It just happens to the Cubs during crunch time.
I am worried, but not in panic mode. If they lose 2 out of 3 to the Reds, THEN I will panic. ...

Cubs.com is reporting that Carlos is simply suffering for a bout of rotator cuff tendonitis, which is probably the best we could have hoped for. They say he will be out for a week and there's no reason to think they are being anything less than forthcoming.

Tendonitis of the rotator cuff is when is hurts to throw a baseball. Similar to the flesh eating virus, tendonitis presents itself with the same symptoms as your basic flu, except for the fever, nausea, and vomitting. The aches and pains part is the same, though.
The Cubs would be insane to bring him back next week unless the Brewers are threatening to overcome ...

Apart from our learning that Carlos Zambrano could be back on the mound by September 14th, presumably minus the discomfort caused recently by his rotator cuff tendinitis, there was another positive development on the baseball front Thursday: The Brewers lost 5-2 at home to the team with the worst record and worst road record in the National League, the woeful Padres. Compounding the Brewers' frustration was knowing that they had been conquered by the habitually woeful Shawn Estes, who was making his first start since May, when he sustained a broken thumb.
