Giants’ Zito to Make Start Wednesday

Barry Zito’s time in the bullpen appears to have been short-lived, according to mlb.com. Zito has been slated to make the start on Wednesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. His time in the bullpen seemed to have been largely uneventful, maybe just a few days to clear his head. He ended up missing just one turn in the rotation. Bruce Bochy said that Zito had time to “work on some stuff on the side” over the last week or so, and the Giants hope Zito was able to figure some things out. Zito is 0-6, posting a lofty 7.53 ERA thus far in 2008. Zito says he is “excited” to get back on the mound to see if some of the adjustments made will pay off in game action. ...
