Janko Tipsarevic Does Not Appear To Fear Roger Federer
Roger Federer is locked in a fierce early struggle with Serbia-Montenegro's Janko Tipsarevic, who overcame a couple of early mental errors to take the first set from the defending champion, 7-6 (7-5). Roger Federer defeated the 49th-ranked Janko Tipsarevic to advance to the fourth round of the Australian Open. It sounds like it was an amazing match, especially with the 10-8 final set. Unfortunately this type of ending could never happen at the US Open since the final set is determined by a tie-breaker. Hamburg Thursday + Djokovic/Nadal: Blood on the Horizon
Hamburg action, and some new thoughts as the trivalry heats up on clay. Nadal/Murray was a disappointment, to say the least. A few of today’s other matches were equally routine, while others were fairly surprising. Verdasco was able to repeat his clay victories over Ferrer at last year’s French Open and in Stuttgart. Ferrer pulled out a tight match between the two in Valencia a ...

Tips Are Not Only Welcome, They Are Encouraged
Tips Are Not Only Welcome, They Are Encouraged
Six months ago, I watched and live-blogged a terrific tennis match between Roger Federer and Janko Tipsarevic. Though my rooting interest was on the side of Federer, the eventual winner, I couldn't help but be impressed by the fire and ability of Tipsarevic, the 24-year-old Serbian who pushed the world's number one player to the limit before falling in a fifth set tiebreak. This afternoon, I ...
