Marcel 2009!
Tom Tango's Marcel 2009 projections are out:
The Marcel the Monkey Forecasting System (or the Marcels for short) is the most advanced forecasting system ever conceived.
Not.
Actually, it is the most basic forecasting system you can have, that uses as little intelligence as possible.

My New Sawks Jersey
This is pretty freaking hilarious. My good friend EJ Flex (die hard Yankee fan) sent this my way, and even though it's an extreme parody of Sox fans, it's pretty damn funny. I like to think that if you can't laugh at yourself you can't laugh at anything. Knuckleballs!

Great Moments in Frivolity, Part I
On Monday, Rich took a look back at the important business of the 2008 season to date: who's winning, who's losing, and why. Unimportant business is important too, however, so over the next two days I’ll be providing a rundown of the ephemeral, the trivial, and the pathetic events of the season's first half. Today: March and April.

Not a thing in the world to be upset about.
I am set to have what could be extensive and potentially career ending shoulder surgery on Monday. The result of that surgery could be waking up and being told “It’s been a nice run big man, but you’re done” or “It wasn’t THAT bad, but it’s going to take serious time and effort to ever pitch again”.

Behind the Youkilis-Ramírez fight
Multiple Red Sox players confirmed yesterday that Thursday night's dugout altercation between Manny Ramírez and Kevin Youkilis resulted from Ramírez objecting to what he believed was excessive - and chronic - complaining about the strike zone by Youkilis in the dugout, as well as the first baseman's penchant for throwing equipment after at-bats.

Manny & Youk fight in dugout
NESN caught footage of Kevin Youkilis and Manny Ramirez getting all rough & tumble in the dugout during the Red Sox/Rays game tonight. No word yet on what it was about.
Earlier in the game, Coco charged the mound & took some swings at Rays' pitcher Shields. Manny showed up late to the brawl, maybe that's what it's about. Who knows.
