For the third time in the last four years the San Antonio Spurs eliminated your Phoenix Suns from the NBA post season. Spurs’ Big Three beat Suns in game 2. Phoenix in 0-2 series hole

San Antonio’s Big Three led the Spurs past the Suns 102-96 in game 2 of the first-round playoffs series. San Antonio now leads the best-of-seven series 2-0. Tony Parker had 32 points and 7 assists, Tim Duncan scored 18 points and grabbed 17 rebounds while Manu Ginobili added 29 points off the bench for the Spurs.

Chris Young, Dbacks Agree on $28 Million Deal

ASU Marching Through the NIT

The players came over to slap hands with the student-section. One by one the players ran by, but it was Jeff Pendergraph’s face that said it all. The previous two seasons Pendergraph had suffered through consecutive losing season with ASU. While he was certainly disappointed the Sun Devils were left out of the NCAA tournament, he was clearly ecstatic to finally feel like the big dog.

Arizona State was left out of the tournament. They likely lost their spot when Georgia took down Arkansas for the SEC title. The toughest thing to swallow were the seeds Oregon (9) and Arizona (10) landed. That showed the committee didn’t even view us as close to those two teams, despite finishing ahead of them in Pac10 play.
